UHV Stepper Motor D42.1

This 250 mNm, NEMA 17 size UHV stepper motor offers 200 full steps per revolution (1.8° step angle). ALM’s stepper motors are specifically designed for use in UHV environments, making them ideally suited for low-speed precision in-vacuum manipulation without the use of particle generating motion feed-throughs. The considerable reduction in mechanical complexity, absence of metal to metal sliding surfaces, and low outgassing characteristics make these motors especially suitable for sensitive handling applications.

Suitable for use below 1 x 10-10 mBar (7.5 x 10-11 Torr) and bakeable to 200 °C.

Standard size and characteristics
NEMA 17 size and 200 full steps per revolution (1.8° step angle).

Embedded temperature sensor
Supplied with embedded Type-K thermocouple as standard. PT100 RTD is available as an alternative.

Compatible with UHV Gearhead
Step resolution can be increased by adding an SG35 (5:1 ratio) inline spur gearhead.

Works best with AML stepper motor drives
Continuous running in vacuum at high torque and step rates with AML drive.
