10400 Cryostat

Whole brain sectioning enables the study of brain-wide structures, neural circuits, and pathology. Proper handling and sectioning are essential to preserve the intricate architecture of the brain, providing detailed maps of gene expression or cellular distribution. This is especially useful in developmental neuroscience, neurodegenerative disease studies, and functional brain mapping. The 10400 Cryostat was adapted from the 9400 Cryostat to handle even larger samples, and is made to order.

The adjustable cryostat deep-freezing temperature preserves the brain’s cellular structure and molecular integrity, making it ideal for studying specific proteins, neurotransmitters, or gene expression patterns. The deep chamber and range of cutting allows for coronal sectioning providing visualization of some of the brain’s most important structures.

Features

The Control panel is the central point of control for the unit, allowing the user to easily customise settings such as temperature, thickness, batch quantities and switch between single and continuous cutting modes.

The large cryostats are made to order and can have additional design specifications as determined by the customer application – please contact us to discuss your research needs.
