Advantages and Unique Features of 3T Analytik Instruments

Flow Cell

Stress Less, Smile More, For better science

3T Analytik has designed the flow cell to be the world’s only that does not apply any rotational stress to the quartz sensor. Eliminating the potential for errors in measurements. Designed and engineered to be more useful and allow for concentrating on the science of the experiment rather than the equipment.

Unique Sensor Design Saves Money and Time

The quartz sensor is mounted on a thin asymmetric polymer foil, ensuring the perfect orientation alignment in the open architecture of the flow cell.

This easy-to-handle design for tweezers or by hand eliminate the setup time waste and potential to scratch the quartz sensors. Allowing for the focus to be on the experiment.

Each sensor has a sensor specific Unique Identification Number (UID) printed on them, making them instantly recognizable and data logged in the powerful database software.

Active Temperature Control

A powerful Peltier element operates the qCell T series at stable conditions.  Offering active heating and cooling for dynamic temperature control within a 4-50°C range, with a temperature stability of 0.02°C.

Integrated Fluid Control

qCell T device comes with softrware integrated pump control. The 12 roller configuration of the peristaltic pump makes for minimal pressure fluctuations, providing a stable QCM-D signal. Flow rates are adjustable between 9-5600 μL and can be pre-programmed in software script function.

Full Automation

The qCell T series devices feature accurate pump and temperature control, and it can be additionally equipped with auto-sampling functions.

The auto-sampling unit LiquiBox Compact, allows sample selection from up to 8 eight sample receptacles per QCM-D channel.

Together with integrated pump control, the script function can be used for fully automated execution of SOPs for faster and more reproducible experimental procedures.

Multilevel Data Traceability

All 3T QCM-D devices offer full data traceability, that starts with the ID-number printed on each sensor chip, to which each measurement file is linked.

Each measurement file carries info panel containing user defined entries as well as a standardized electronic log file documenting each step of your SOP.

All measurements and its logged info are conveniently organised, sorted by a variety of categories and accessible through data base function.

Configurable for Combining Methods

3T analytik offers a wide range of QCM-D devices, included devices that can be combined with other methods.

qCell T eChem and qCell eChem combines quartz mass sensing with advanced electrochemistry measurements.

With the qCell µOpto – series, the user is able to monitor the sensor surface microscopically, as well as integrating the QCM-D mass sensor into custom made microfluidic chips.

APPLICATION AREAS

The QCM-D method is label free, meaning that virtually anything coming in contact with the sensor changes the quartz vibrational behavior. This opens for a wide range of applications including, but not limited to:

  • Kinetic studies (dissociation- / binding constants)
  • Protein interaction (affinity assays)
  • Viscosity measurements in microliter volumes
  • Cell adhesion / desorption
  • Drug effects
  • Receptor ligand interactions
  • Molecular aggregation
  • In situ formation of polymer films
  • Enzymatic degradation studies
  • Biofilm studies
  • Studies of structural changes, proliferation and cell spreading
  • Detection of coagulation status
  • Real time studies of antigen-antibody interactions (e.g. immuno assay, specific coupling of cells and bacteria, blood typing)
  • Investigation of the malaria cycle (e.g. release and reinvasion of parasites)
