Introduction
to the piXarray 100 Radiography system.
The piXarray 100 is self contained, compact, X-ray system suitable
for radiography of small animals or industrial components. The design
is based on a combination of high-performance, flat panel CMOS detectors,
and high resolution columnar CsI scintillator technologies. The Bioptics
digital X-ray imagers are packaged in the form of a standard film
cassette with a convenient and cost-efficient option for digital radiography.
The portable design can be powered from a standard AC outlet and no
further X-ray shielding is required. The piXarray 100 is easy to operate
with minimal training. Exposure control is automatic as a pre-exposure
function selects the appropriate power and exposure time. A transparent
specimen window ensures proper alignment. The instrument is supplied
with both film and digital image capture. The film comes in standard
18 cm x 24 cm cassette with Auto film-detect feature for error-free
operation.
