GET MORE OUT OF YOUR RESEARCH BUDGET, THE RESULTS YOU NEED AND MORE FREE TIME WITH IMPROVED CONTRACT LABORATORY PLANS FROM MICRO PHOTONICS Irvine, California – August 23, 2007 – Micro Photonics, today, announced improved contract laboratory service plans that offer a variety of instrumentation, turn-around times and pricing options. Service plans were designed to accommodate even the most restrictive time constraints, offering 24 hour turn-around times on some samples, depending on parameters. Plans were designed to allow researchers faced with tight capital goods budgets, and time limitations the opportunity to obtain economically priced, fast, repeatable results through contracting laboratory services with Micro Photonics Surface Test Division. “With research scientists averaging 45 plus hours in the office, contract sample testing offers the opportunity to compile critical data without sacrificing additional time away from home, and without worrying about staff availability”, said Pierre Leroux, General Manager Surface Test Division. Utilizing a broad range of analytical instrumentation including: Nanovea Series Non-Contact 3D Profiler, Tribometer, Nano Hardness Tester and Micro Scratch Tester, together with over ten years of experience, Micro Photonics has developed specializations in the areas of: profilometry, morphology, surface and thin film structure, texture and dimensional roughness, thickness measurements, friction, adhesion, coating failure, fracture toughness, Hardness & elastic modulus. Contract laboratory services also provide opportunities for clients to experience the capabilities of instruments before purchasing the equipment. “Of course there is an equilibrium that exists between contracting services and out-right purchasing the equipment”, said Leroux. “Most clients appreciate the fact that they can begin gathering research data before the equipment is installed in-house.” Sample testing is performed by Micro Photonics’ team of laboratory and sales engineers, and all results are strictly confidential. Clients who desire to attend testing may do so at the Irvine, California location or can view samples remotely via live internet feed.
