High Speed Cooled CCD camera
Slow Scan performance without all the waiting - ideal for dynamic studies!

The coolview is a fast readout 10Mhz 'Slow Scan' 12 bit CCD camera. The camera uses a scientific grade CCD which is thermoelectrically cooled .

     Features of the Coolview 12
  • Fast readout 10 Mhz , 12 bit camera using scientific CCDs
  • MPP Mode for ultra low dark currents
  • Deep thermoelectric cooling for even lower noise performance
  • 100% active surface ( fill factor )
  • On chip binning
  • Focus mode: a continuous read out to help focus the camera on a microscope, providing an
  • Gain: selectable from the computer with choice of unity, 2, 4 and 8.

The coolview features exceptionally high speed readout at 10MHz pixel rate making it an ideal camera for dynamic studies of low light samples. A large pixel CCD chip with 16 bit dynamic range ( digitized to 12 bits for speed ) provides a high performance input sensor for the camera.
The CoolView 12 is available in two versions, CV12/1000 - 1024 x 1024 pixel resolution and CV12/500 - 512 x 512 pixel resolution.
One of the CoolView 12's main features is its high readout speed - with a 10MHz pixel rate images can be read out in 1/30 second for the CV12/500.
The camera is controlled from within the image processing software by a set of dialog boxes. This makes the camera system very easy to use.

Applications
Flourescence in situ hybridization

Configuration
The Coolview12 camera system consists of a camera head, a control unit, a digital aquisition board for the computer, a computer (PC or MAC), and software. The system is supplied complete with interconnecting cables and a set of hardware and software manuals.
The high speed RS422 data needs to be input to a computer via an interface card. The signal format is compatible with a wide range of options.
In particular, the Matrox Pulsar® digital frame grabber is fully integrated with the camera and can be supplied as a working set, with cables and basic software.
Additionally, ImagePro Plus® software with drivers for the CV12 can be supplied to run with the Matrox Pulsar®, making a complete image acquisition, processing, analysis and display package.
