MiniBIS Gel Documentation

The MiniBIS system brilliantly captures electrophoresis images under a wide range of illumination conditions, including UV and white light. The CMOS imaging technology used in the MiniBIS provides  high-resolution images, at high speed with the same quality as any sophisticated video documentation system but at a fraction of the cost. The MiniBIS is a very compact system designed to sit on top the transilluminator. Gels are loaded though a lift up door at the front without having to remove the unit from the transilluminator. A unique safety switch box extinguishes the lamp when the door is opened

With MiniBIS, you can store, analyze, and annotate acquired images on your PCs with a variety of popular image analysis software. Direct transfer of images from camera to PC means no loss of resolution - as is common with frame grabber cards that capture data from video signals.

MiniBIS connects to a PC with a PCI interface card and is supplied complete with software for acquisition and analysis.

Software
GelQuant is an easy to use and very affordable 1-D gel analysis software for producing tables of band positions, areas and sizes. GelQuant reads gel images in tiff format from any digital camera or scanner system.
